Chakra Foods – fuel your sacred center

Glenda Anderson

Please join the SaddleBrooke Metaphysical Study Group on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the HOA 1 Activity Center for this exciting presentation. Our originally scheduled speaker, Dr. Claude Swanson, is now scheduled to come in May because of a scheduling conflict he had.

In today’s stressful world filled with toxicity, including GMOs and chemtrails, we all need to be concerned about the health and wellbeing of our mind, body and spirit. When one hears the word “chakra,” spiritual, mental and emotional development might come to mind. However, chakras are physical places in our bodies that require specific nutrients to nourish them. Join us as we welcome Sherry Granader, CNC, CDE for her presentation on how we can use foods to feed our energy centers and improve chakra health, thereby increasing wellness throughout the body.

Understanding the chakra system helps to better understand the interconnection between the physical body and the spiritual body. In a balanced chakra system energy flows vertically, reaching all of the chakras. Each chakra exchanges energy freely with the cosmos. None of the chakras is substantially more open or spinning faster or slower than the others. Each of the chakras is opened to the degree needed to support health and spiritual development.

When an illness manifests in some part of the body, there will be a correlated block or weakness in one or more of the chakras. By identifying and understanding the way different body parts relate to the seven energetic wheels, one can easily address the energetic source of physical and emotional ailments.

Tonight you will participate in a chair yoga session, learning how to balance chakra frequencies through meditation. You’ll also learn about foods that support each chakra and how to keep your organs and physical body healthy and happy. Handouts of some of Sherry’s proven recipes will be provided.
