Community Circle Players, SaddleBrooke’s new community theater group, raffled off the beautiful mural flats providing scenery for their delightful mystery dinner theater production Eat, Drink and Be Deadly! Husband and wife team Claire Cordon and Michael Caryl were the lucky winners of one of the seven feet high by four feet wide murals and Heddy Gryszan and her husband, the second.

SaddleBrooke residents Eve and Stan Fly of Walls of Wonder created these two set pieces for the show and kindly donated their services to help support community theatre in SaddleBrooke. For 12 years, Eve and Stan Fly have been transforming ordinary walls into works of art in metro Tucson and samples of their work are on their website at www.wallsofwondersaddlebrooke.com. Eve is a classically trained fine artist who has taken painting classes in oil and watercolor throughout her life.

Raffle tickets, which cost $10 each, three for $25 or 15 for $100, were sold before the Eat, Drink and Be Deadly! performances on February 26, 27 and 28 at HOA 1 Vista’s Dining Room. The highly popular CCP show was performed the previous week at HOA 2’s MountainView Ballroom. Proceeds from the raffle will help Community Circle Players purchase additional sound equipment such as a soundboard, microphones and speakers to help sound crew Eric Tuccio at HOA 1 and Skip Brauns at HOA 2 deliver outstanding sound for future CCP performances.

As you can imagine, CCP co-producers Shawne Cryderman and Susan Sterling are thrilled with Eve and Stan’s talent and involvement and everyone is already talking about what to do for next year’s  production.
