Catalina Mountain Elks Lodge #2815 used $2,000 of an Elks National Foundation Beacon Grant to purchase food for distribution by Impact of Southern Arizona which operates as a food and clothing bank for families in need in northwest Tucson, SaddleBrooke, Oro Valley and Catalina. Lodge Community Activities Coordinator Jan Trudeau, with the help of Lodge members, filled over 330 bags with pancake mix, syrup and Spam. Food bank recipients received the food in addition to their regular food allowance in April. This is the second time in two months that the Lodge has donated to the food bank.
