As a very enthusiastic Baritone in SaddleBrooke’s Canada del Oro Barbershop Chorus, I also have the task of trying to communicate this enthusiasm to my SaddleBrooke neighbors as well as others who may read my bi-weekly promotional pieces in the SaddleBrooke Progress and SaddleBag Notes. The bottom line, of course, is to inspire you readers to buy your reserved seat tickets and attend our Friday, December 11 holiday musical extravaganza The Most Wonderful Time of The Year in the DesertView Performing Arts Center.

The program features our chorus as well as the 2015 Barbershop Harmony Society Senior International Silver Medalist men’s quartet High Priority. The Angels on the program will be the wonderful Chandler High School women’s choral group The Treblemakers. Last month some of our chorus members and their wives as well as our Director Nancy Bergman attended a Sweet Adelines concert in Chandler where the young ladies were on the program. The reviews were unanimous as to how talented they are and what a special treat it will be having them on our program.

When I write of Fountains I think of Ponce de Leon searching for the Fountain of Youth in Florida in 1513. I suggest that those of us who will be listening to and singing with these young angels will have a sense of joy and restoration. The opportunity to be part of this holiday musical experience is there for all.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the MountainView HOA 2 Ticket Office (825-2056) or online at www.dvpac.net. Also check out the CDOBC website at www.canadadeloro.org.
