Twink Gates-Zimdar

It was Sunday, May 15, a blustery day with the wind checking in at up to 20 mph and temperatures at 90 degrees Fahrenheit, but the Brits carried on regardless with their bocce ball games. Twenty-five members of the British Club braved the weather and gathered at the bocce ball courts here in SaddleBrooke for the fun of playing bocce ball. Following the games everyone headed to the home of Bob Zimdar and Twink Gates for a potluck picnic where they feasted on meat and cheese lasagna, coronation chicken, quiche, shrimp with cocktail sauce, seven layer dip, layered green salad, pasta salad and Tuscan salad. Accompanying the BYOB, a refreshing fruit punch was served with Malibu coconut rum if desired. With coffee a delicious array of desserts were served – trifle, brownies, cheese cake and chocolate dipped strawberries. At the end of the evening, the bocce ball winners, losers and all in attendance were awarded Hershey’s chocolate and hazelnut bars for their endeavors to make this event so successful!

Everyone agreed it was a fun way to spend an afternoon and evening and thanked Twink and Bob for organizing this fun event for the British Club.
