On Saturday, April 26 it seemed like British weather had come to SaddleBrooke! It was a blustery, overcast day and threatening rain; not like the lovely sunny days we usually enjoy here. Quite a fitting day for the eleven ladies from the British Club to enjoy their Coffee Morning and Book Exchange at the lovely home of Sheelagh Simpson. Sheelagh served delicious goodies – poppy seed and blueberry muffins, homemade chocolate bread and an array of cookies accompanied by coffee and of course, not forgetting, hot tea! It was good to get together and swap stories and welcome a new member. As usual, a good time was had by all.

Thank you very much, Sheelagh, for hosting this fun event.

Every second and fourth Friday of the month the British Club has a social event in the bar area at SaddleBrooke Clubhouse which includes the following activities: Canasta, Mexican Train and maybe Bridge from 1:00 until around 4:00 p.m. This is followed by a social hour and a bar meal.
