AZ Pathfinders’ Hidden  Tucson II Tour

Join Arizona Pathfinders on a behind the scene tour of Medicine Man Gallery led by Jerry Freund, historian, an expert on Native American rugs, pottery and Western art. We will view the gallery’s outstanding paintings, bronze sculptures, pottery and Navajo rugs.

Jerry will then take us to the Tucson Medical Center where he will give us the early history of the Desert San, its founders, their research and treatments from the 1920s. Jerry will explain the relationship between a famous Rembrandt painting, an astronomical instrument and the treatment of TB in Tucson. He will discuss the story behind the world class donated paintings in the Tucson Medical Center’s hallways.

We will then proceed to Tohono Chul Park for lunch at the Garden Bistro outside patio. We will have time to visit La Fuente Museum Shop and La Entrada Greenhouse and Garden Shop. After lunch we have a docent-led tour of the park, the Art Gallery at the Exhibit House and La Galleria Museum House.

Cost is $990 per person; full cancellation until March 27. Travel is on a deluxe coach. Entrance fees, lunch and gratuities are included.
