Autumn ballroom dance parties are here

Dancers enjoy a dance party.

Now that the snowbirds are returning to SaddleBrooke, the ballroom dance parties are even bigger and better. This is an excellent time to dance to a wide variety of music provided by our valued DJs and to enjoy dinner with both friends and new members.

On Oct. 3, members and guests enjoyed a monthly Dine and Dance Party at SaddleBrooke One Vistas dining room with music provided by our Club DJ Phil Doyle. On Oct. 11, we enjoyed another TGIF Dance Party from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the MountainView Ballroom, dancing to tunes by our Club DJ Sheila Honey. That built up our appetites so many of us stayed for dinner in the private dining room. This gave us the opportunity to get to know fellow dancers better.

Join us for our next Ballroom Dance Party on Saturday, Oct. 26. This Halloween-themed dinner dance will also be at the MountainView Ballroom. The evening will start with a delicious dinner of molasses pepper pork loin or bronzed salmon with roasted red pepper sauce or the vegetarian option of stuffed portobello mushroom with rice pilaf. Meals will start with a spinach, pear, and goat cheese salad and end with an ice cream sundae bar for dessert. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner is at 6 p.m. and the dancing starts at 7 p.m. Our club DJ will be Bob Osborne providing a nice range of music for dancing. Reservations must be made in advance. Get your dance partner and some friends and join us for a fun evening of ballroom dancing. Wear comfortable attire, and costumes are optional for this dance party. Tickets for this event are only $30 for club members, $40 for guests.

Our next monthly Dine and Dance Party will be on Thursday, Nov. 7 at SaddleBrooke One. We start with dinner at the Vistas dining room then dance in the adjoining Vermilion room. You can come dance with us or simply come for dinner and watch the dancing. It just might inspire you! Thursdays are burger nights so reservations are required if you wish to be seated with our group near the dance floor. Dinner reservations start at 5 p.m., and we usually start dancing at about 6 p.m. To reserve a seat, contact Rick Baumgartner at [email protected].

Later in November, we will have another Ballroom Dance Party on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the MountainView ballroom. This is an excellent time to be thankful for the wonderful SaddleBrooke community in which we live and for all your friends, dancers, and those only thinking of dancing. It will be a fun evening of dinner and dancing. Find the registration form on our website.

Guests are welcome to attend the various dinner dances but since membership in the SaddleBrooke Ballroom Dance Club is so much fun with so many parties, why not join? For information about dance parties, lessons, membership, and more, go to our club website at www.sbballroomdance.com.
